Jiffy's Hush Puppy Recipe, You're going to love these.



These are the best hush puppies ever! Try it with your next fish fry.

1 pkg. "JIFFY" Corn Muffin Mix
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup onion, finley chopped
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbs parsley flakes
frying oil

Preheat oil in deep fryer to 375°F.

Combine muffin mix, egg, milk, flour, garlic powder, parsley flakes and onion. Mix well. Drop by teaspoon into oil. Fry 4 minutes (2 minutes on each side) or until golden brown. Drain and serve.

    1. Hi Bella, thank you for your comment. My favorite thing to do is to take 1 cup of ketchup, 1 tablespoon of curry powder, 1 tsp of hot sauce and 1 tablespoon of sweet relish and mix it together. Let me know how you like it.

    2. I love hushpuppies when i make them with jiffy mix theu are so fluffy and you can take tha t dip that meika was talking About and it will go so good with them

  5. i am not a cook but i think i could pull these off tonight for dinner or maybe just a appetizer sounds good too with the sauce dip could you think of a dip with mustard I am a diabetic and ketcup spikes my sugar?? thank you

    1. Greetings and thank you for your comment. Hmmmm, mustard. I would say maybe a creole mustard and mix a little mayo to get a milder flavor. Or sriracha, mayo, fresh green onions or chopped cilantro, a little pepper, garlic powder and a pinch of salt.
